aemond is written with a heavy lean on how the experiences of his childhood, and the relationships within his family, have bled into his perception of the world. aemond is by no means a straightforward character; his personality, morality, and beliefs are many-layered and complex. he has learned to bury the more vulnerable aspects of himself for his own protection, as such they may take time to appear within a written story.aemond can be cold and depending on the circumstances cruel. aemond and the writer are not the same and should not be confused. i am not my character. i'm a welcoming and friendly person! please don't be afraid to approach me!

aemond is written both multiverse and multiship. the intention is that these verses are and will always be separate to allow the writer the chance to fully explore all aspects of the character and his development in different storylines.his storylines will include aspects of intimacy as the writer fully believes that characters are at their most true when they are most vulnerable; intimacy does not necessarily mean romance or sexuality, though those themes are more than welcome to be plotted out or built towards should chemistry be present..

Biographies

Verse 1

Aemond II and Viserys III Targaryen were born but moments apart, Viserys being the elder. After seventeen years of miscarriages, stillbirths, and infant deaths the King had two sons to concern himself with, leaving him with fear beyond reason for the lives of both. Aerys’s paranoid madness drove him to unspeakable things, such as declaring to the world and his wife that the Queen had delivered one small but healthy son not a set living twins. In his desperation Aerys announced and celebrated the life of the elder of his twin sons, Viserys, and concealed Aemond. Rhaella, who was never permitted to be alone with either of the interchanged infants, did not consider to question the death of another baby. Beyond the King himself it was Willem Darry who knew the truth of the twin princes.It was at the King’s instruction that when Aemond was old enough that he could no longer be easily concealed he be taken to The Citadel. Aemond was left in the care of the maesters of The Citadel with the explanation that he was descended of the Blackfyres. It took little time for Varys to discover the truth about Aemond and manipulate that truth to his own ends. Raised by maesters in The Citadel, Aemond grew up amongst books and learning and was quite content to do so. In working to forge the chain of a maester Aemond, who had always been an intelligent child, became proficient in mathematics, languages, history, strategy, warcraft and swordplay, philosophy and logic. While he showed little signs of the cruelty and hints of madness that his twin was known to possess he was always determined.The finer details of Aemond’s life are left purposefully vague for the sake of exploring them through written role-play storylines. He may be merged with the character of Young Griff in some instances or stand entirely on his own.

Verse 1

i set this verse in place because i am entirely open to the possibility of reincarnation and time travel. a great many magics and mysteries drift through the stories of a song of ice and fire and i like to think that aemond could find his way to a later era.

aemond targaryen was born the second son of visery targaryen and alicent hightower.modern verse number one - modern royals
this portrayal of aemond very much mirrors my original portrayal only set in a modern monarchical westeros.modern verse number two - targaryen enterprises
from a young age aemond's interest lay in books. the adventure stories he read as a child evolved into fantasy and history novels which sparked an interest in philosophy and languages. children can be cruel and in aemond's case his interests made him different from his siblings and nephews and often saw him bullied for them. this was brought to a breaking point amongst the cousins and nephews after the funeral of aemond's aunt, laena. aemond picked up on some of the grey areas in laena's will and laid claim to her large parcel shares in the company leading to a confrontation that ultimately lost aemond his left eye.
in the teenage years after the confrontation aemond took to martial arts, devoting time nearly every day to training. by the age of eighteen there were few that stood on his level of lethality with hand to hand combat.
the expectation was always that aemond would take his rightful place among the family as well as among the ceos, coos, and cfos of targaryen enterprises.
when tragedy struck and viserys suffered a stroke that left his health and faculties severely compromised alicent stepped in as acting ceo. when the worst came to pass and the family lost visery a second will was discovered that threw the entire line of succession and the future of targaryen enterprises into absolute chaos. in this midst of this chaos and struggle for control aemond is second year student of crownlands university (unless otherwise plotted), on track to complete his bachelor's degree in business psychology.
